Bio

As a child, Sarah was a very shy girl who lived in a work of books and imagination games, which she usually played with her younger sister Amanda. She grew up in Danbury CT at the end of a culdesac and spent countless hours exploring the nature preserve behind their house and the streams and swamps at the end of the street. Feeling a deep connection with the woods where she spent so much of her time she started the “Save the Earth” club in attempts to clean up the trash that had been dumped in the swamp near her house, however no one except her parents attended.

If not outside running through the woods, Sarah could be found playing with the family pets, which at times included 3 or 4 cats, 10 guinea pigs, a dog, a toad, a garden snake, some box turles, a rat, and even some carpenter ants that Sarah and her sister caught and kept as pets in jars.

She later discovered an interest in magic tricks and spent hours mastering them to put on shows for her family. She also performed in ballet and piano recitals, along with gymnastic exhibitions. Even though her interest in performing was beginning to show, she was still terribly shy and was usually extremely nervous and terrified when it came to any of these events.

Due to her fascination with the child-star Jonathan Taylor Thomas, she then turned her attentions to acting in hopes of one day meeting the young star. She decided she needed to start practicing and getting rid of her shy-ness as soon as possible, so she performed in her first play, “Bye Bye Birdie” in sixth grade.

Throughout high school she had roles in a variety of plays and slowly started to become more comforatble in her own skin. During this time, Sarah was also an avid soccer player, playing in an international youth world cup in Sweeden, and a pole-vaulter (the first female at her high school), winning a seasonal county championship.

After high school she decided to try film and appeared in “La Bolsa” in 2005 and immediately fell in love with this new media. She was accepted into the Acting program at Emerson College and graduated in 2009 with honors. Since college, Sarah has appeared in around 60 or 70 productions, both film and stage, all over New England.

While acting is Sarah’s primary drive and passion, she also enjoys designing websites, scuba diving, creating her own clothes, is fascinated by castles and medieval times along with Egyptian and Greek mythology, and has a healthy interest in the supernatural, which most likely stems (she believes) from being visited by a ghost during her early years.

Sarah Nicklin moved to Los Angeles in July of 2011 with her husband and very talented actor Michael Reed, and continues to pursue acting in all it’s forms.
